Do you have a student that may be looking for a middle school for next school year? Thoreau is the place to be!
Families will have six opportunities to learn about Thoreau Demonstration Academy.
- Shadowing will be scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays, in January and early February. Here is the link to schedule a student.
25 current 5th graders per day
20 current 6th graders per day
20 current 7th graders per day
- Mrs. Doctor will visit elementary schools on Fridays – Jan. 5, 12, 19, and February 2 & 6, – at 8:15am or 1:15pm.
- On Wednesdays – Jan. 17, 24, 31, and Feb. 7, 14 Mrs. Doctor will host Zoom Tours for parents from 10:15 – 11:15 am.
- On Wednesdays – Jan. 17, 24, 31, and Feb. 7, 14 Mrs. Doctor will host In-Person Tours for parents from 1:00 – 2:00pm.
- The option to bring 5th grade students to Thoreau for a field trip will be available to schedule for Jan. 22, 29, Feb. 5, & 12. This information will be sent to your TPS elementary school soon. These slots will be limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
- Mrs. Doctor presents at elementary schools who have a middle school parent night.
